Home is where the Army sends us....

And this time, they're sending us to Fort Campbell, Kentucky! Once James finishes his Captain's Career Course here at Ft. Lee, we'll be PCSing (Permanent Change of Station) to Fort Campbell. This base basically straddles the Tennessee/Kentucky line and we'll be living in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Over Labor Day weekend, James and I decided to head over to the Rocky Top state to do a little house hunting. Kemper spent a fun weekend with Aunt Neci, Beth, Michal, Tim and Alec and are we ever grateful! I think he had a blast, and it sounds like he was on his best behavior the whole weekend.

James and I have a very busy, productive, successful house hunting trip! We are working with an amazing realtor who, bless her heart, devoted her entire weekend to us. We probably saw 30 houses in the span of 2 days. We were exhausted but, the avid HGTV watchers that we are, were very well prepared for our marathon house hunting! In the end, we put an offer in on a brand spankin' new house that will be ready in about a month! After a little negotiating and some crazy luck on our part (hey, we just happened to meet the builder/husband of the selling agent and he not only let us take another look around the house, but took us to other houses he is building to show us the finishes that he's planning to use in our house and being super polite and complementary never hurt a thing especially when another offer was made along with ours!), WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!!! So, without further ado....

Our new house!

Heading upstairs

What the cabinets will look like once they're installed.
I'll keep updating pictures as Laurie, our realtor, sends them to me. She's graciously going to keep us in the loop on how the final stages of construction go.

As usual - long overdue update

We're in the midst of teething misery at the moment. 2 molars through, 1 halfway through and the other is still waiting to make its appearance. That means: sleep regression, MAJOR temper tantrums, not eating, super short naps, and just crabbiness in general.

Trying watermelon for the first time

More intersted in the rind at first

Now he gets to the good stuff

Love his faces :)

He takes watermelon very seriously

I love this picture :)

Up close & personal with Kemper

Kemper can demolish corn on the cob

Hey mom, can you leave me alone please?!
