Rollin' rollin' rollin'...Kemper's going rollin'....

We've got a back-t0-belly roller! YAY Kemper!!! He's got that perfected, but getting back to his belly - not so much. And he HATES to be on his belly. So, he's got a new trick up his sleeve but it makes for a cranky, mad baby once he realizes he can't get back over.

He doesn't go back to the doc until the beginning of August, but curiosity was killing me and I wanted to know how much he weighed now...that carseat sure is getting heavy! So, we decided to weigh him at home - in a rather unique way. Pops has a hanging scale he uses for hunting so we hung the carseat and weighed it first (10lbs) and then, strapped Kemper in and weighed him....16lbs! Now of course, it doesn't weigh ounces so he could be more, but WOW! 16lbs at 3 months!

His personality keeps getting better and better. He is definitely like his daddy - a big, ole flirt! :) He knows when to turn on the charm and who he should turn it on around. He keeps me smiling and laughing. I love seeing his big smile every morning when he beckons to be saved from his crib. We've discovered he's tickelish, and even more so when he's sleepy. His precious little laugh makes me laugh - it's so sweet.

Sweet boy - enjoyin' his Bumbo seat

If you insist on tummy time, don't bother me while I try to nap please...

Total hunk... ;)

Wait a second....they tricked me into tummy time....

3 month surprise!

Kemper turned 3 months old yesterday and he gave ME a present - he SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!! Last night, he slept from 10:30 until 6:30 this morning...of course, I woke up at 4:30 and checked on him, then again at 6 but it was SO nice to go back to sleep right away rather than 30 minutes later.

3 months old!

Uh oh - he spotted Yertle

And now Yertle is in a headlock....

He spent Saturday night a Grandma Rita and Grandpa Phil's house while I headed down to Raleigh for Blair and Scott's wedding (which was absolutely beautiful). Kemper had a great time, as did Grandma and Grandpa I'm sure! Everyone asked where Kemper was, but I'm sure we BOTH had a better time with the arrangements we made (and, I got an opportunity to sleep, uninterruped, for the first time in 3 months!). I think we were both happy to see one another when Grandma Rita brought him back Sunday afternoon!

All of the Meredith girls with the beautiful bride!

Beth and me

For the 4th, we spent the day around the house and got Kemper's new pool out for a little pool time. He seemed to enjoy it, but he wasn't really sure what was going on to begin with. He's got the hang of splashing around in the bathtub but couldn't quite figure out what to do in the pool. We watched the fireworks at Grandpa Ralph and Nanny Janet's after a nice cookout (well, everyone but Kemper watched - he slept peacefully through the whole show).

Hmm...not so sure about this pool thing

So mommy gets in a pool that is entirely too small for her in hopes that I'll like it a little more....

Happy 4th of July!
